Last week, we celebrated Rafi’s first birthday! A little party was thrown for him here at the Mission on his day. It was so great!!!

Are there any other January birthdays out there? Party pictures?

On letting your child to contribute

I wanted to share with you a win I am having after listening to the “Child Scientology” lecture by LRH.

In the lecture, one of the many things he talks about is the need for the child to contribute. I was doing this, but not to the degree I could have. I started letting my one-year old Rafi do all of the things he wanted to do, like stir food on the stove, take laundry out of the dryer, take it out of the laundry basket and then put it back, and I validate him every time I see he is trying to do something helpful.

He is really winning! This was just one of the datum LRH shared during this lecture. I highly recommend checking it out – it’s part of the Classics series, and it is also a part of the Freedom Congress.

Have you had wins like this? I’d love to hear about them.

Scientology tools I use to help my son

People often say to me when they see my son “What a happy baby!” or they remark on how calm he is, even people I don’t know that I see with him on the street!

My husband and I applied the information from the chapter “Preventive Dianetics," found in the book Dianetics, the Modern Science of Mental Health by L. Ron Hubbard. I know that this has played a large part in our baby’s happiness.

The times when he does become upset, we use “Locational Processing," and he quickly relaxes. This assist can be found in the Assists for Illnesses and Injuries booklet.

We also use the “Touch Assist” to help him when he has teething tenderness, and it works very well. You can see his face change and he becomes relieved.

Dianetics and Scientology offer very simple, easy to use tools that are very powerful in effecting positive change in people, even babies!

I remember one of the first things we did when we brought him home as a newborn was give him a 'locational.' My husband was telling him to look at things in our home, and his eyes opened wide and he was doing it!! It was so cute. He then relaxed and slept well.
